Unusual & Interesting Photos

Part 1

I think his work is incredibly odd but nonetheless magnificent. : )
I think that maybe he used slow shutter speed or he might have photoshopped it ..
The buildings here in downtown Austin would make really good photos.. But theres tons of buildings that would make good photos but if i were to choose one it'll probably be a random building that nobody knows about. Let it be known of. : )

Part 2

I chose this photo because it just stood out to me. Theres two things going on at once & it's a really good shot.
This photo was in the Art Of Entertainment.
It got 1st place !!!!
What caught my attention was that theres people that have company & on the side is a girl sitting by herself. You would normally just take a picture of the three people but the photographer included that girl, it's ... different.
I'm pretty sure it weighed a lot in the judges minds. I'm sure they were as in love w/ it as I am.
The photographer probably had to zoom out to get the picture right & maybe try not to be obvious that they were taking the  girls picture.
                                                    Part 3

-We need flash or some other aid to get both lightning situations correct.
- What this can teach photographers is to never stop looking for the right angle to take a photo.
-It is important to be able to see repeated patterns in photography and get good photos of them.

i think the photographer used the suggestions pretty good. In a way they have the same meaning but at the same time they're completley different. I REALLY like street art & graffiti. They have meanings behind them & they're just absolutely beautiful.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Basically the article is about people who manipulate w/ the  photo are making the images unreal & it's wrong. Using photoshop can cost you your job & credibility like it did to photographer Brian Walski. Photographer Adnan Hajj over exaggerated to make something seem more than it really was.

I think it's unacceptable because it's basically lying although a white lie, it's dishonest & nobody wants to see something thats fake.

Most Unethical
I felt that this was the most unacceptable because this is not the real her. It's just plain terrible.

Least Unethical
I think this photo is acceptable because it's just a dramatic effect. Even though sometimes people go overboard w/ the dramatics, this one is ok w/ me because they just needed to fit the background in the photo.

National Geographic Warm-up

This photo caught my attention because it shows the beauty of being young & able to just jump & play & be as free as possible. The black & white setting just makes it seem more bold. A phenomenal photo.

A photo I would submit is, a picture of a graffiti covered skatepark or a picture of the millions hippies at The Hippie Festival in The Netherlands (which one day I WILL attend). Something that would make someone say Wow.

40 greatest photos taken

John F. Kennedy Jr. salutes his father's coffin along with the honor guard.

I chose this photo because it's adorable but really sad at the same time.
I like how the photographer involved other soilders in the phot that are also saluting & not just the boy by himself.
It's a one of a kind photo & it just goes deep. It touches your heart.

"La Jeune Fille a la Fleur," a photograph by Marc Riboud, shows the young pacifist Jane Rose Kasmir planting a flower on the bayonets of guards at the Pentagon during a protest against the Vietnam War on October 21, 1967. The photograph would eventually become the symbol of the flower power movement.

I chose this because I LOVEEEEE hippies & I know that if i had been around in that era I would have been a die hard supporter of the Flower Power movement.
I think the photographer used an excellent range & zoom level.
Well this photo made the Top 40 because its super rad. Plus, it was the symbol for the Flower Power Movement, A VERY important movement !!!

Harold Whittles hears for the first time ever after a doctor places an earpiece in his left ear.

I chose this because this because the look on his face because he was given the opportunity to hear for the first time & he looks like he's in awe: ) .
The photographer got his whole face & just the perfect timing. This is really a really beautiful picture.
This photo is amazingly epic .
